Essbase and Excel VBA Courses
  • Essbase Excel Spreadsheet Reporting [1 day]

    This one-day course provides an overview of Essbase with specific instruction in reporting using the Essbase Excel spreadsheet add-in. The class steps through important multidimensional concepts, fundamental spreadsheet topics, ad hoc and dynamic reporting techniques, and several advanced subjects. Prerequisites: None

  • Essbase Excel Spreadsheet Toolkit and VBA [2 days]

    This course is intended for end-users, report developers, and application developers. The course will cover specialized Excel techniques and introduce you to Microsoft′s Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) language concepts using the Extended Macro Language. At the end of this course, you will understand how to develop VBA macros against an Essbase database. Prerequisites: Essbase Excel Spreadsheet Reporting or equivalent experience.

  • Essbase VB API [2 days]

    Fast paced instruction and comprehensive materials make this class a requirement for developers of Essbase user interface applications and tools. The Essbase VB API and Excel add-in API are included to teach students how to achieve enormous benefit and sophistication in their programming. The class format is demonstration and lecture with lots of hands-on exercises. Prerequisites: Essbase Excel Spreadsheet Toolkit or previous VB experience.

    This course is designed for individuals who are responsible for the development and administration of projects using LumenSoft Xcel BI+™. Students learn the features and capabilities of Xcel BI+™ and the SpreadsheetObjects™ technology framework, and the procedures required in creating and maintaining an application. Prerequisites: None

  • Xcel BI+™ Template Designer [1 day]

    This course is designed for individuals who are responsible for the development and administration of projects using LumenSoft Xcel BI+™. Students learn advanced template design techniques to help them create more robust and maintenance-free Xcel BI+™ applications. Prerequisites: Xcel BI+™ FastTrack

  • Xcel BI+™ Developer [1 day]

    This course is designed for individuals who are responsible for the development and administration of projects using LumenSoft Xcel BI+™.
